Abstracts should summarize the contents of the paper work to be submitted to the GeoNorth 2007 Conference. They must not include references, photographs, diagrams, formulas or tables.
Abstraction submissions instructions
Submission of abstracts must be done via the conference web site, as described below. Do not submit an abstract more than once. There is no limitation to the number of abstracts an author may submit. The text of the abstract must be between 350 and 400 words. References, photographs, diagrams, formulas or tables cannot be accepted as part of an abstract. The deadline for abstract submission is March 12, 2007.
The abstract submission requires completing the two sections in the web-based abstract submission form.
Section 1 requires to provide the contact information of the corresponding author.
Section 2 requires to provide the abstract related information. That is:Please make sure to complete the mandatory fields denoted by an asterisk (*).
When all the required information has been entered in the submission form, please review it and then select the Submit button to submit your contact and abstract information. Select the Reset button if you wish to clear all entries.
Confirmation. After submitting the abstract, a confirmation of your abstract submission with your abstract ID number will be sent automatically to the e-mail address provided in the contact information section. Please keep this confirmation for future reference and for any correspondence with the conference organizers.
Abstract review and paper acceptance. The acceptance of the papers for oral and poster presentations will be based on the evaluation of submitted paper abstracts of 350-400 words. The accepted papers will be published in the CD-ROM conference proceedings. The evaluation of the submitted abstracts will be conducted by the scientific and technical program committee of the GeoNorth 2007 Conference. The evaluation will be based upon the scientific and technical merits, relevance with the themes of the conference, informative nature, new information, stating objectives and results, expected generated interest, clarity, and compliance with the required formats. Corresponding authors will receive notification of paper acceptance by middle of March 2007.
